ceruleancorvid Ah, I love the television show Gotham.
This week: I was excited because Ed's brain is broken again and he went to confront Oswald about it! Only it turned out that it WASN'T Oz, it was .. Hugo Strange, who Oz hired to fix Ed ... working for THE GOVERNMENT, who MIND CONTROLLED ED into murdering hundreds of refugees... and this branch of The Government is embodied by AN OLD FRIEND OF JIM'S WE'VE NEVER MET BEFORE, who said some generic-ass army buddy dialogue and then turned out to be evil, and tried to make Jim kill Ed? So that Jim could join their great secret government project? Of.... I don't know? killing everyone in Gotham? It's Not Clear.
This fucking show, y'all.
Also we're at a level of fake science now where you can just put a chip in someone's brain that lets you shine a light in their eyes and then they have to follow your orders, apparently, and Hugo Strange straight up sawed off the top of someone's head, skull and all, and then STAPLED IT BACK ON AND THEN THE GUY GOT UP AND WAS DOING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY FIVE MINUTES LATER AAAAH!!! (.... okay, this one genuinely was worse than average.) And yet I can't tear myself away from Robin Lord Taylor acting his heart out despite being handed this God Damn Nonsense, &c.
